<p>What kind of treasure would you hope for, if someone left you a map where “X” marks the spot?</p>
<p>Best friends Junie and Dot have left their husbands and children behind and embarked on an adventure, following a map left to Junie by her free-spirited mother Doris, who passed away one year ago. Reluctantly dutiful, Junie struggles with her unresolved frustration at Doris’ perpetual attempts (even reaching beyond the grave) to mold her staid and steady daughter into something more like the effervescent Dot. Upon stumbling on their destination, the women encounter something unexpected…Doris’ dragon, who has a task for Junie, as well as a final message from her mother.</p>

<p>At Sunday family dinner, Jeannie reveals to her younger sister her struggles with finding employment with all the restraints marriage and new motherhood impose. Annie is frustrated that her big sister wasn&#8217;t able to be there for her through a recent difficult break up. Annie finally reveals that she has decided to follow her life-long dream and has taken a job in Paris, even though it will take her away from her family.</p>
