How would that be fair if people could jump in and out of line as they pleased? What if someone else came? And they were willing to wait while you were off tra-la-la -ing about? How is that fair? What if your turn came up and you weren’t here? What should we do? Let everything grind to halt while we wait for you for who knows how long? Should we move to the next person only to have you show up? It would be chaos. Utter pandemonium!
